What Are the Pros of Banner Ad Marketing?

Something that I have seen starting to grow more interest in people's minds in the internet marketing world is banner ad marketing. This is by no means a new idea, but rather it is one of the oldest forms of internet marketing.

Surely you've all seen the ads that say "enter your zip code for a chance to win!" Well those are banner ads. They are on probably 95% of sites and you may not even realize it. They are in instant messaging services as well, such as AIM and Windows Live Messenger.

The ads that you will see today range from just a simple picture and some text promoting the offer to a small mini game that you can play, all just to get that click from you!

What are some of the pros of banner ad marketing?

1. Generally quicker campaigns.

One of the pros are that if you really know how to target your audience and demographics and you know what sites to promote that product on, then you can make a very good income and not have too work "too" hard. Do not get me wrong, there is still plenty of work in banner campaigns, and lots of trial and error, but once you get into the swing of things there is a lot of money to be made. Speaking to some people about banner ad campaigns they have expressed to me that they enjoy it more than other forms of internet marketing since they can usually have a quicker turnaround on the investment to profit.

2. Millions of sites that allow banner ads.

Since like I said there are millions of sites out there that utilize banner ad marketing. You are not limited to only a few sites that you can submit your entries into. You can buy either directly from the site or there are affiliate marketing sites that you can apply to and become a publisher for them.

3. The wide range of products you can promote.

There are absolutely no boundaries here. Think of any product in the world. There is a banner ad for it! Even random terms such as car wash. I am certain there is an eBook out there somewhere that you can promote that will tell people the best and safest way to wash their car. You can even create your own eBook and promote your own products using banner ads!
